Jenny Holzer - Artist Rooms / mac Birmingham
in 2018 Artist Rooms/Tate brought the work of iconic US artist Jenny Holzer to mac Birmingham.
Several text based large LED pieces were installed in mac's terrace gallery and a wall of printed 'Trusims' filled the wall adjacent to the café bar. Working with mac and in liaison with Tate, Surely created a bespoke typographic treatment of the artist name, reworking futura to reference the artists early 'truism' stickers. Once agreed by the artist the bespoke marque incorporated into print design and rolled out across flyers, outdoor posters, hanging banners, vinyl wayfinding and exhibition wall graphics for this very popular exhibition.
