Peter Kennard – mac Birmingham – Off Message

Off Message was a major retrospective exhibition of work by the artist Peter Kennard hosted by mac Birimingham.

Peter Kennard is widely regarded as Britain’s most important political artist. With a practice spanning almost fifty years, his distinctive photomontages have been published extensively in newspapers and magazines, and deployed on placards and banners by activist groups and organisations throughout the UK. His images for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), including Broken Missile, are among his best known, while collaborations with other artists including Cat Phillipps and Banksy reflect a persisting relevance and currency in his work.

Surely worked with Peter and curator Craig Ashley to create the typographic identity for the exhibition as well as signage, large format 'blue back' posters, free broadsheet newspaper, screen assets and supplementary materials.
