Block9/Birmingham Opera Company - Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk Publicity Design
Surely designed the posters, tickets, program and screen assets for the Birmngham Opera Company production of Shostakovich's 'Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk' designed by Block9. This powerful, immersive production was staged in the disused Tower Ballroom, a former nightclub and wedding venue on the outskirts of Edgbaston, Birmngham. A raw punk, cut and paste approach in the illustrated elements, with rough mark making and handwritten text combined with clean typography to convey a sense of this truly opera whilst maintaining legibility.
